Unintentionally Funny, Must-Watch Bollywood Movies: Kambakkht Ishq

The ‘must-watch’ tag associated with this post is strictly for symmetry-maintaining purposes. Because Kambakkht Ishq is about as Must-Watch as a Rakhi Sawant interview. Now, since there is no way I can fully do justice to the mind-numbing brilliance of this movie, I lay no claim to the humour quotient of this piece. You’re just gonna have to see it as my good deed for the week. An effort to let people take an informed decision before watching this dementia-inducing wonderfulness.

It should go without saying, but still : MAJOR-ASS SPOILER ALERT!

  9. Apurv Nagpal says:

Really good stuff !very original way of reviewing the film though it is, as you mentioned above, a huge ‘spoiler’ !

  10. sanchari says:

The funniest part is that after reading this i wanna see the movie so that i can compare the strip with the scenes!! πŸ˜›
    this should be fun …

  11. Meira says:

    hilarious!
But err… you actually WATCHED the movie?

  12. Hah! Professional hazards, Meira. Have to watch everything.

  13. nishu says:

hehe! hahaha! =)) =)) .. i spent more time laughing at actors than jokes cracked by them.

Directors r forgetting difference between stand up comedy and a movie.

    nice strip :)

  14. Kasabiangirl says:

hahaha! Thank god I didn’t watch it…the post was hilarious…had a good time. Bet it was funnier than the so called comedy :)

  15. rahul says:

ROFLMAO..just came here blog hopping and I am so glad that I came…awesome blog you have!!

  16. ajnabi says:

OMG I seriously can’t stop laughing. I have no doubt, absolutely none, that I enjoyed your post ten times more than I would ever enjoy the actual film that inspired it.

  17. memsaab says:

This is waaaaaaaaay better than the film that inspired it. Wah! Wah! πŸ˜€

  18. Sahil Rizwan says:

    Thank you people! =)

  19. Ipshita says:

I had started watching this movie and stopped within 10 minutes because it was so terrible. I think I’m going to go watch it now to compare. The strip’s brilliant! :)

  20. Mahima says:

I’ve subscribed to this strip on my Reader.. Sahil.. Dude..You really rock! Keep posting your insights into the spectacular trash production apparatus that is Bollywood!

  21. Sahil Rizwan says:

Thank you Ipshita & Mahima! =)

  22. Savvy says:

Dude, love your strips…came across them just a few days back. The Paa, Blue and 3 idiots reviews were unbelievably funny! In this one, u missed the award ceremony for Best Stuntman….that was another truly cringeworthy sequence, complete with shots from some other award ceremony red carpets!

  23. Joy Forever says:

I stumbled upon your blog accidentally and I am hooked to it for the past couple of days. You movie reviews are totally awesome… and far better than th movies themselves (I have seen only a few of those movies though, but that is enough to judge).

I was stupid enough to watch Kambakkht Ishq while travelling to India from the US this winter, and was forced to watch Dil Bole Hadippa on the return trip… Finnair should be grateful that I did not blow up their planes or something…

I really wonder how much they paid Stallone and Denise Richards… or maybe they don’t get any offers anymore. But dude, how did you miss the “suer”? I agree he was irrelevant to the plot, but he added to the unwatchability factor big time!

  24. simrita says:

thank god!! i was so annoyed when i heard that silly kareena kapoor had my name in the movie! must make them read this strip!!

  25. Varun says:

I’ve nearly read all of your reviews…and man, I so desperately wanna watch all those movies now!!

  26. Dinesh says:

Just a FYI. This film was a yucky remake of Kamal’s Pammal K Sambandham :-)

  27. Sounak says:

Epic #WTFness depicted in style. Loved it.

  28. niharika says:

great strip…rofl @ “rented yatch for one scene”
the only cliche not used in this movie was of the poor, estranged maa.

  29. Karthik says:

WTF! this movie is a ripoff of Kamal’s comedy movie “Pammal K Sambandham” in 2002.

  30. Kunal says:

Awesome ! Hilarious ! Can’t get enuff of it !

  31. Falooda says:

LOL! Loved the Devil with Denise Richards and Sylvester Stallone. And Superman has his chaddi out! πŸ˜€
